I officially detest my creative arts.
I decided that I hated the old idea in the end, and scrapped the entire thing. I dont think Mr Yap will notice though, so I guess for now I'm entirely safe. It was kind of a pity, but then I hate action scenes. How do you draw a scene half-way through the battle anyway? I tried, and even the retarded people
Dingyi don't get it, and Mr Yap... he tried. Commendable effort too.
But yeah, nobody understood a frame.
So I'll try for something simpler. Lots of pictures, minimal narration and a less boxed-up paneling style. Lots of flowy open spaces for easy reading. The people also don't talk much.
What I am least happy was the fact I had to redesign everybody.
Xenia is completely gone, for one.
Shiroi has long hair now, and she's now like more of a semi-major character.
Katsurou... he can resume his name again.
But, because I fail at drawing guys, I gender-changed him.
I'm sure nobody will mind the change, he had a effeminate design too.
Iriel, oh yes, Iriel. He's back in the plot. As a major character.
See how much I love you Iriel, you're damned hard to draw too D<
the story is relatively simple. But it's cliched and boring:
Shiroi and Katsurou are good friends.
Shiroi and Iriel are a couple.
Katsurou likes Iriel.
She doesn't believe in snatching.
She decides to try out the urban legend:
"1000 fireflies will grant one wish."
The original was where Katsurou goes after Shiroi.
But since he has become a she, it doesn't matter.
I want a really happy ending for this story.
But I don't think I'd be able to fit the ending one the four pieces of paper.
I like that scene in my head where... the bottle smashes in the end.
There'll be fireflies flying everywhere...
Maybe they could hug too?
Nah, too cliched :D
